1 Kings 22:16
The king said to him, “How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

1 Kings 22:34
But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the sections of his armor. The king told his chariot driver, “Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I’ve been wounded.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Aug. 18, RANDOM (I Kg. 22:16, 34). A prophet should speak none other than the truth. He said that the king would lose. No matter how he disguised himself, still he would see the things exactly just like what God had said through his prophet.
1. The soldier attacked randomly.
He had no knowledge nor intention to shoot the king, yet he accidentally and unconsciously hit the king. He didn’t do it in purpose. He just shoot carelessly in any direction. He just shoot 1 arrow.

2. The arrow hit him between the section of his armor vest.
He didn’t see the arrow coming. He couldn’t avoid it. He couldn’t run from it.

3. The wound couldn’t be stopped.
The wound was deep enough. The wound keep bleeding. The blood keep spilling. He died that day miserably. If God doesn’t protect us, we are really unsafe. So please God keep protecting us. ASH.
