Numbers 30:8
But if her husband forbids her when he hears about it, he nullifies the vow that obligates her or the rash promise by which she obligates herself, and the Lord will release her.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, March 5, RELEASE (Num. 30:8). There are 3 people who can release a vow of another person. If the person is a young daughter whom still staying at the house, not married yet and a wife. The people are:
a. The father.
The father as the head of the family can cancel or release the vow of the people in his household. Because he is the head, who has to take the responsibility.
b. The husband.
The husband can release the vow made by his wife. Although, the vow has been made, still can be released. Although, it has been made long time ago, still.can be released.
c. The Lord.
Of course The Lord can release a vow, so that a person is not bound by his vow. So, be careful to make a vow. ASH.
