Deuteronomy 24:22
Remember that you were slaves in Egypt. That is why I command you to do this.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Apr. 4, REMEMBER (Deut. 24:22). Memory and remembrance are important for behavior. The Israelites was reminded many times about this. Failing to remember this is the same as failing to live well before God. God wants them to remember. Remember
a. Not only to receive, but also to work.
God wants everybody to work. God doesn’t want anybody to be lazy. God doesn’t want his children to depend on somebody else. Everybody has to work. Everybody has to stand on his own feet. They had received a lot from The Egyptian. But they had to work to have a new income.
b. Not only to receive, but also to give.
Remember to give, to share, to donate. Don’t keep everything for self. Give to the needy, fatherless and widows. So, let’s work and give more diligently. ASH.
