Hebrews 4:5
And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.”

Hebrews 4:6
Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Oct. 5, REST (Heb. 4:5-6). The Bible is really rich with understandings. Understandings which beyond human’s understandings. Our mind can’t reach perfectly God’s mind. In this verses, we will focus on the word “rest.” Actually, rest does not only mean 1 thing, taking a break.

Rest can mean:
1. Taking a break and later will continue the work again.

2. Stop and then go sleep.

3. Lay down.

4. Completed.

5. Heaven. Rest can mean a place.

So, unlike some of the people who consider heaven only mean 1 thing, tired. God is not God because he can be tired, therefore, he needs rest. Hence, never in The Bible God is tired. How shallow their understanding are. Let’s btoaden our mind to see the ullnlimited mind of God. (ASH)
