Deuteronomy 4:10
Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, when he said to me, “Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, March 15, REVERE (Deut. 4:10). Man likes to be revered. Therefore, man puts the title in front of his name. Man is unconsciously takes what is suppose to be given to God. God is the only one whom is worthy to be revered. God is suppose to recieve reverence. Why?
a. He is the creator of men.
He is above men. He is beyond men. He is worthy to be revered.

b. He is the blessing giver of men.
He controls and designs everything, so that men can be successful. Without God’s blessings, no men can be successful.

c. He is receiver of the report.
He has given blessings to men. He wants the blessings to be reported and returned to him. He gives the talent in order that after men’s success, men came back to God and give God thanks. So, no reason for men to be revered. All the reverence should be returned to God. ASH.
