Psalms 114:8
who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, May 24, ROCK (Ps. 114:8). God can do all things. Nothing can not be done by God. God is also working. God is an active God. But, he doesn’t have to work first, then things happen. Even, when he doesn’t do anything, things happen.
1. Rocks tremble.
In the presence of God, even, when God hasn’t done anything, rocks trembling. Mountains. move and leap. We can imagine, the view of mountains leaping. How amazing and awesome if we can see mountains leaping? Mountains are described as having eyes and intelligence, so they can see and know whom present in front of them. They have feeling of honor, so they could leap, jump and move.
2. Rocks melt.
The rocks can melt or turn into spring of water. The rocks not only producing or emerging water, but they also turn into water themselves. They, as if, are melting in the presence of God. Not only soft materials can melt, like soap, but also hard rocks.
3. Rocks sing.
The rocks are described like singers. They have ability to make harmony and specific voices to sing. They have consciousness to praise God. They respons and reacts automatically to praise God. They realize that God is worthy to be praise. ASH.
