Deuteronomy 29:18
Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the Lord our God to go and worship the gods of those nations; make sure there is no root among you that produces such bitter poison.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Apr. 9, ROOT (Deut. 29:18). This is a strange root which we have to be very cautious. Just like the other root, it needs to eat. But this root eats bitterness, hatred, grudge and all kinds of boiled anger.
b. It will grow bigger and stronger.
In the beginning, it seems so little. But day by day, it will become bigger and bigger. We can’t hold it. We can,’t hide it. We can’t stop it. It will appear and reveal its existence in the surface.
c. It will bring destruction.
When a root is big and strong, it can destroy the soil, bricks or cements. Just like that, if the bitter root is big and strong, it will destroy the relationship. The best way to.deal with it is to uproot in the name of Jesus. ASH.
