1 Chronicles 10:13
Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance,

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Sept. 22, 3 SAUL’S SINS (I Chron. 10:13). The Bible is very clear in describing Saul’s sins. Not because, he was not tall enough, handsome enough or persistent enough. But because of:
1. Unfaithful.
Unfaithful here is talking about his heart. He didn’t love God. Not about he didn’t love his family, children or David. He didn’t love God faithfully. He left God and Samuel.

2. Not keeping the law.
He didn’t obey the law of God completely. When he was asked to do something, he didn’t accomplish it well. He did it, but not to the end. Remember, when he was asked to kill Amalek and its king, he saved Agag and the best cattles. On the other hand, he did what he was not asked to do. He replaced Samuel to give the offering. He killed the priest of Nob whom had helped David on the run.

3. Consult a medium.
He went to a medium to ask things. He wanted to call the spirit of Samuel. Why he didn’t come to God directly. Therefore, he lost his kingdom. So, let’s obey and follow him faithfully. ASH.
