Psalms 56:8
Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll — are they not in your record?

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Mar. 27, SCROLL (Ps. 56:8). Scroll was popular at that time. People in the ancient times, wrote things on stones, trees or papyrus. They had no paper yet. After they wrote it, they scrolled it. David knew about scroll. He thought God had some kind of scrolls in heaven.
1. Record our actions.
God records our actions. He knows, remembers and records our actions. Nothing missed. He has all the data about our actions. All is complete, detail and correct.

2. Record our miseries.
God records also the difficulties that we experience. He knows and manages our miseries. He allows miseries for good purpose. He never leaves us in miseries. The proof is the record. He could record, then, he must be there.

3. Record our tears.
He knows our tears in those miseries. He values our tears. He has empathy also in those sadness. He felt sad when we are sad. He records what he did in our tears. He makes us happy in those tears. ASH.
