Esther 10:3
Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Dec. 19, SECOND IN RANK (Est. 10:3). Mordechai was a great wise man. He was made second in rank in the Persian kingdom. Why? Because:
1. He worked for the good of his people.
He didn’t work to find benefit and advantage for himself. His mind focused to think for other people.
2. He worked carefully.
He didn’t make any troubles in the kingdom. He took care of his life well. He didn’t break any rules.
3. He was faithful to the end.
He lived purely and holy. He didn’t go left or right. He was honored greatly because his consistence and persistence. God made him a good example of a person whom could live holy in the foreign kingdom, just like Joseph. We can live like that too. ASH.
