Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri , July 2, SECRET OF STRENGTH (I Sam. 30:1, 3, 6). Heavy problems could come into our life in anytime. We can never predict, when they would come. If we may choose, I believe, nobody wants the problems come anyway. We can see, that heavy and many problems had come into David’s life without permission. The problems were drained him:
a. Physically.
He and his troop had just arrived at home, Ziklag from 3 days journey from Jezreel. He must be very very exhauated. We can imagine, we drive a car for 3 days, how tired is it?

b. Emotionally.
The Amalelites had burned Ziklag to the ground and took everything with them, including the wives, children and everyrhing. They cried until no more strength to cry.

c. Materially.
The Amalekites took everything and left nothing behind. The city was gone, destroyed and burned.

d. Respobsibly.
The people were very angry to him. So that, they wanted to stone him. The people were very sad until they forgot whom David was. But, in the midst of heavy problems like that, David found strength in God. David was strengthened by God only. And as David was strengthened, may the same God would strengthen us too. ASH.
