Revelation 22:3
No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Oct. 18, SERVANTS (Rev. 22:8). God is almighty, omnipotence, all powerful God. If he is almighty, then, why does he need many servants? Are servants not showing that God needs something outside of him? Thus, it shows the limitation of God? No. It’s wrong. God doesn’t need anything outside of him. He is unlimited. He can do everything alone. He can do all things better without any help. Then, what is the servants for? Servants here are not the same as slaves. Servants here are not getting paid. We are the servants of God.
a. The humility.
We realize that we are so low before God. Yes, it’s true that we are his children. But, we realize that we are actually unworthy to be in heaven and called as his children. Therefore, we call ourselves as servants. The same as the angels. They consider themselves as the servants.

b. The availability.
In heaven, we are ready to do things. We like to help each other. We are not only standing immobilized. We are actibe and diligent in heaven.

c. The similarity.
If we are doing things for God, they are not low and ugly. They are divine. We are doing the same as Jesus did on earth.

So, always be active and diligent. Do things joyfully. We do that for the glory of God (ASH)
