Psalms 64:3
They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Apr. 4, SHARPEN (Ps. 64:3). Sharpening is a kind of art, good work. People do that as a job to earn money. It is useful for people to make a living. But not all sharpening is beneficial.
1. Sharpen the weapons.
Weapons need to be sharpen. Spears, swords are the weapons that need to be sharpen periodically. They are not only needed to be guarded, wrapped and taken care of well, but also need to be sharpened. Otherwise they would be dull and useless, couldn’t be used for nothing.

2. Sharpen the pens.
For some people, they love to write. They write for hobbies or jobs. The more they writing, the better their writing, the sharper their pen, the better they describe their thoughts and hearts in writing.

3. Sharpen the tongues.
But, for some wicked people, they sharpen their tongues. They hurt other people, not with weapons or fists, but with tongues. They consciously use their tongues to hurt others. The cuts or the bruises are heavier and more dangerous than weapons. So, what do you sharpen? ASH.
