Jeremiah 51:41
“How Sheshak will be captured, the boast of the whole earth seized! How desolate Babylon will be  among the nations!

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, July 12, SHESHAK (Jer. 51:41). Who doesn’t know Sheshak at the time? It’s the name of the big city of Babylon. If someone hears the name of Sheshak mentioned, he knows it’s Babylon. Very famous city, like New York nowadays. It’s the pride of Babylon. It’s the symbol of the Babylon success. Very powerful. Very amazing. The golds, the skyscrpapers, the crowd and soldiers are all great. But all the greatness of men are so small compared to God. For God it’s worthless. Actually, the whole earth is valueless before him. He destroyed it without pity. He used a wave to crush them. All the achievements, accumulations of men were gone in seconds. In fact the whole earth is meaningless. What is meaningful is only 1, man, us. For us, he wants to come and die. For us, he wants to leave heaven. For us, he wants to be crucified. How great is his love toward us?
