Psalms 83:1
O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Apr. 23, SILENT (Ps. 83:1). What is the meaning of silent? Silence may means many things
1. Ignoring.
Silence may mean the person doesn’t care. He ignores whatever has or is happening before his eyes. He is just as if doesn’t see or know whatever happens before him. He doesn’t want to do anything. He wants to stay away from the happenings. He doesn’t like to be connected and involve in the happening or event.
2. Afraid.
Silence may mean afraid. He is afraid if we say something, the saying would cause bad results. If he does something, it may make things even worse.
3. Strength.
Silence may mean strength. He is not affected even a bit by the event. He is so strong, so that he is not hurt and lose anything. Just as an adult is hit by a baby. It causes nothing to the adult. May God gives us the strength to face our troubles. ASH.
