Deuteronomy 16:12
Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and follow carefully these decrees.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, March 27, SLAVE (Deut. 16:12). Remember sometimes can save us from many dangers. Our mind can save us from many problems. Because, many times, we have problems because we forget and forsake the law of God. The Israelites were slaves in Egypt for 433 years. They have to remember.
a. Remember to give thanks.
They were freed from Egypt. They showed many great miracles eversince. They were given many treasures. They were made the chosen and children of God.
b. Remember to be humble.
If God didn’t free them, they would be there enslaved by The Egyptian for the rest of their life forever. If God didn’t love them and helped them unconditionally, they would be doomed and dead in Egypt.
c. Remember to be faithful.
If God had loved them so much, they had to love God back. The simplest proof of love was faithfulness. Therefore, we also love God. Remember that we were slave too. Slave of sin. Slave of Satan. ASH.
