Job 31:16 “If I have denied the desires of the poor or let the eyes of the widow grow weary,
Job 31:18 but from my youth I reared them as a father would, and from my birth I guided the widow.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Jan. 19, SOCIAL (Job 31:16, 18). Job was also a philantropist. He was very social. He had a heart for the unfortunate people.
1. Poor.
Those whom were poor were in Job’s heart. He helped and cared for them. He didn’t forget them. He did something to help them.
2. Fatherless.
The fatherless were very important to be cared for. They needed love and care. They would be criminals, if they had no love of the fathers. Job cared for them and helped them, in order not to make them lose their future.
3. Widow.
The widows were also had a place in Job’s heart. He provided them food and shelters. He helped them, so that they won’t do something indecent. They had to be honorable women. So, Job did well in his society. Shall we do the same?
