Acts 6:8
Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Sept. 7, STEPHEN (Acts 6:8). Today, we want to meditate on a man of God, Stephen. He was full with The Spirit and wisdom (v 3). His existence and ministry were acknowledged by the apostles, whom prayed and laid their hands over them (v 6). He, as if, was not ordinary man. He was so very amazing with all of those specialties. Moreover, this verse tells us that Stephen could do many great wonders and signs. Yet, unfortunately, those things could not prevent him from problems, oppositions and hates. I personally often think that if I can make miracles, my ministry will be smooth. No problems, oppositions and hates. But, in fact, even Jesus, The God himself, who came to this world, done many wonders in front of their very eyes, also could not prevent him from problems and so forth. So the point is that not about the wonders, but the will of God. If God allows us to experience problems, we’d be better obey and persevere. Never cross our mind that God is cruel, leave us. It is his plan to show or to give birth of something. Just as in the Stephen story, after the persecution, Paul appear. After the stoning, an even greater man is born. So, just be faithful in all occasions God allows us to walk. He has his own perfect plan, in which we just can’t always understand.
