Deuteronomy 9:13
And the Lord said to me, “I have seen this people, and they are a stiff-necked people indeed!
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, March 20, STIFF NECKED (Deut. 9:13). The Israelites were known for their stiff necked. Yes, they were stubborn, arrogant and not easy to listen. This was not only 1 person, but from generation to generation. The character was like that. The identity was indebted in their genes. But, God loves them.
a. He chose them.
He didn’t missed choose them. He didn’t hide his choice to the them.and to all nations. He chose them and announced to everybody, that he chose them. He chose them before the world was created. He chose them among the other better people.
b. He loved them.
He chose and loved them. He put them in his heart. Not only to his heaven, but to his heart. Not only to his book, but to his heart.
c. He sticked with them.
He didn’t change his heart toward them. He loved them forever. He never forsaked them. He was always faithful to them. Let’s learn to love others more like him. ASH.
