Exodus 16:31
The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Dec. 14, SWEET WAFER (Ex.16:31). Whatever comes from God is always amazing. It is beyond comparison and comprehension. The Israelites really was pampered by God with many miracles. They saw many miracles with their own eyes everyday. In a day, they see many miracles at once. In the morning, they saw the bread from heaven. In the day time, they saw the pillar of cloud. In the afternoon, they saw the quail. In the night, they saw the pillar of fire. What else they lack of? Today, we want to see the bread of heaven.
a. It was honey taste, sweet, thin, crispy like wafer, transparent like frost.

b. It was healthy.
It makes The Israelites strong and healthy to continue their journey for 40 years. Although, it appeared on the open ground.

c. It was heat sensitive.
It couldn’t stand the heat. When the sun became hot, it melted away. So, it couldn’t be kept until afternoon or even the next day. It would be full with maggots and stink.

d. It was heritage material.
It was kept together with the tablets of the law in the ark for the generations to come. So, the next generations could hear and see the great stories of the wonders that God had made for their ancestors. God can do miracles also today. Please Lord do so. ASH.
