Psalms 110:4
The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, May 20, SWORN (Ps. 110:4). God swears. What is the meaning of God swears? Swearing is usually based on the higher supreme being. God is the highest being. To whom he is swearing? Based on what he is swearing?
1. He fixes his plans.
God swears meaning he confirms his mind and will again and again. He fixes his plans and strategies in dealing with people. He doesn’t work based on happenings, situations. He makes everything happen according to his will.
2. He focuses on his plans.
He has no other plans. No better plans. No worse plans. The plans are set. No change. No revisions. No corrections. It is perfect already. That’s it.
3. He follows his plans.
He makes a deep and careful watch over his plans. His plans are many and interconnected to each other. He follows closely until all his plans happen perfectly. So, he is serious with his plans. God swears that all things would be happen according to his will. ASH.
