Job 2:12
When they saw him from a distance, they could hardly recognize him; they began to weep aloud, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Dec. 21, SYMPATHY (Job 2:12). Job had very sympathethic friends. They were not only friends, they were very close friends. They showed sympathy by:
1. Tears rolling.
When they saw Job from a distance, they wept already. They didn’t only touched, felt sad, but they wept aloud on the street. Not in the secluded room.
2. Tore their clothes.
They tore their clothes, as if the problems became their problems. They were willing to lose their precious clothes.
3. Threw ashes on their heads.
They took ashes and pour them on their heads. They were willing to get dirty as dirty as Job. Do we have good friends? Have we become good friends? ASH.
