1 Chronicles 20:7
When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David’s brother, killed him.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Oct. 2, TAUNT (I Chron. 20:7). Some people like to taunt other people. I don’t understand why do they do that? But let’s try to understand some of the reasons.
1. They are arrogant.
They feel that they are the strongest, the most able, the best men on earth. All the superlatives are considered achieved already. They consider themselves touching heaven already.

2. They are stupid.
They just don’t know that there are so many people close to them or out there whom are much better than them. They don’t know the philosophy, that there are higher heavens above the heaven. Notice here, his taunting was answered quickly by someone close to him, Shimea. He didn’t know that someone very close to him was stronger than him.

3. They are bored to live.
People whom like to taunt actually have been bored to live. They are digging their own grave. He was killed quickly and easily by Shimea. His life ended there. No more story. No more progress. Nothing. Let’s be humble always. ASH.
