Job 1:15
and the Sabeans attacked and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Dec. 20, THE SABEANS (Job 1:15). Long time ago, The Sabeans or The Sheba had existed. Not only in the time of Job, but also in the time of Abraham. Not many people familiar with them today. But, they were quite prominent people in The Bible.
1. They were tall.
It means that they were strong physically. They were good in wars. No wonder, if they were rich nation. They got many plunders from defeated country. In this pericope, we could see that they could easily attack and killed Job children.

2. They were smart.
One of the proofs of their geniousity was the queen. The queen of Sheba came and asked many questions to Solomon. Then, their geniousity was that they made a union with the stronger nation, in this case, The Israelites.

3. They were Baal worshipper.
They worshipped many gods. One of the gods was the moon god. But, later, they would believe in God. Every tongue and every knee would bow to Jesus. ASH.
