2 Samuel 23:8
These are the names of David’s mighty warriors: Josheb-Basshebeth, a Tahkemonite, was chief of the Three; he raised his spear against eight hundred men, whom he killed in one encounter.

2 Samuel 23:9
Next to him was Eleazar son of Dodai the Ahohite. As one of the three mighty warriors, he was with David when they taunted the Philistines gathered at Pas Dammim for battle. Then the Israelites retreated,

2 Samuel 23:12
But Shammah took his stand in the middle of the field. He defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the Lord brought about a great victory.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, July 26, THREE MUSKETEERS (II Sam. 23:8, 9, 12). The 2 musketeers had been known since long time ago. Since at the time of old. Since the time of David. David had 3 musketeers, Josheb, Eleazar and Shammah. What were their strength:
1. Mighty warriors.
They were brave, skillful and proven to be great warriors. Josheb could kill 800 men.

2. Master lover.
They loved their master leader dearly. They cared for their master safety, position and even longingness. David only needed to say 1 time his longingness to drink from the water from the well in Bethlehem. He didn’t even commanded them. But they quickly responded. They risked their life to the Philistine’s area to get the water.

3. Melted into 1.
They were united, compact and 1 heart. They didn’t work alone. They worked together nicely. Not only within the 3, but also in the greater group and even with the whole people.
