Exodus 29:37
For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Dec. 27, TOUCHES (Ex. 29:37). Holiness can be so impossible, yet it also can be so simple. If God doesn’t want people to be sanctified, then, he could just keep quiet. But God loves us, so that he tells us the way to be holy. We don’t have to find it by ourselves. God has told us the way to be sanctified.
a. He informs us.
He tells us the right path to be holy. He doesn’t let us go astray.
b. He inalienables the decision.
Once he says holy, then it is holy. It can not be changed. It is fixed and final.
c. He initiates the reconciliation.
He does everything, so that we scarcely do nothing. We just touch or believe. Simple. Easy. Fast. Free. Praise God, we can be holy. Otherwise, we can never be holy based our own effort. ASH.
