2 Chronicles 29:31
Then Hezekiah said, “You have now dedicated yourselves to the Lord. Come and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the temple of the Lord.” So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Nov. 9, WILLING (II Chron. 29:31). There is oftenly missing in our worship and ministry, a willing heart. Many times, worship is done with
1. Heavy heart.
Many times, people have reluctance heart when they come before God. They have so many reasons not to come, busyness, tiresome, etc. Especially, to give sacrifices, offerings or something else.
2. Hidden motive.
Many times, people come before God with hidden motives, that is to acquire something from God, to get his will accomplished, to be pleased by God, to be honored by men, etc.
3. Hollow meaning.
Yes, people come to the worship service, but they got nothing as a result. They come empty and they come back empty. No change. No blessing. No joy. Nothing. So, let’s not worship God like that. We have to worship with joy and willing heart. ASH.
