2 Chronicles 25:14
When Amaziah returned from slaughtering the Edomites, he brought back the gods of the people of Seir. He set them up as his own gods, bowed down to them and burned sacrifices to them.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Nov. 5, WORSHIP (II Chron. 25:14). Do we know the meaning of worship? We can learn the meaning by looking what the other people do.
1. Setting up.
Worship meaning turning over from one god to the other god. Leaving 1 into the other. Here, Amaziah turned over from God to the god of Edom.

2. Looking up.
After setting up, worship contains looking up. Worship admires the one whom is worshipped. He doesn’t only have the emotion, but also the action. The action of Amaziah was to bow down. He came before him and bowed down.

3. Put up.
Finally, after set up and look up, Amaziah also put up many sacrifices. A worship always involve sacrifice, giving and offering. It is the sign of thanks, love and surrender to the protection of God. Have we done all of those things above in our worship? ASH.
